Today we celebrate the unsung heroes of Southern Industries—the people who make sure every dollar is tracked, every paycheck is accurate, and every report tells the truth. International Accounting Day is our chance to shine a spotlight on the team who turn chaos into clarity (and spreadsheets into art).

Meet the Accounting All-Stars:

• Sam (Director of Accounting) – The captain of the ship. Sam keeps operations running smoothly and makes sure the team rows in the same direction—even when the waters get choppy.

• Ryan (Controller) – Our book-balancing wizard. If it doesn’t reconcile, Ryan will sniff it out like a bloodhound on a mission.

• Anne (AP Clerk) – The guardian of payables. She keeps the bills in line and the lights on (literally).

• Angie (AR/AP Manager) – The queen of receivables. Angie makes sure the money comes in and goes where it is supposed to, so the rest of us can sleep at night.

• Shirla (Credit Card Manager) – The master of transactions. If you swipe it, she’s already got it logged and color-coded.

• Derek (Staff Accountant) – Our cost-accounting ace. Derek breaks down jobs piece by piece, turning projects into clear numbers we can trust. If you want to know what something really costs, Derek’s already got it mapped out. 

• Lisa (Payroll Manager) – The hero who makes payday happen. She’s the reason smiles appear on faces every other Friday.

• Donald (Director of IT) – Not strictly accounting, but he’s the tech lifeline that keeps our systems humming and our spreadsheets safe.

• Larry (Business Analyst / Fleet Manager) – The multitasker extraordinaire. Larry crunches numbers, manages data, develops applications, and keeps the wheels (literally) turning.

• Matt (Chief Financial Officer & Chief Innovation Officer) – Providing leadership and strategic direction for the entire finance and accounting function. Matt ensures that our numbers tell the truth, our resources are used wisely, and that the company stays on track for long-term growth and financial health.
